From my son's very first day here in Reception at Hollygirt, we knew he had joined a very special school. We are welcomed as a family and he is part of a small closely-knit class that he considers close friends. The teaching staff are the most caring and attentive professionals. My son has developed amazing self-confidence and loves coming to school to learn - that is all we could ever have.

On October 12th 2016, three year 13 students from Rushcliffe were asked to speak at the NEC in Birmingham as part of the Care and Dementia show. As we take a short break from the academy, I must pay tribute to my staff, some of whom have not taken a break in the 9 weeks since lockdown began. We will not be setting work or providing feedback during the May break, providing a good opportunity for students to complete work already set and take some time out. After spending 3 years working in scientific research, I began my teaching career in 2002 at Rushcliffe School, Nottinghamshire. During my time there I worked in a number of different roles, including as Head of Science. In this role, I led my team to become one of the highest achieving science faculties in the country and supported the school.
