Two of the historic pioneers of the Black hair care industry are Madame (10) C.J. Walker and Anna Turbo Malone 6,(2,3,10), who created their hair straightening line in the late 1800’s and launched their company in the early 1900’s. Malone and Walker created lines that were specific to the hair needs of Black women.
